GETTING THERE AND PARKING
The Illinois Institute of Technology campus is just a short distance from downtown Chicago, and is served by three mass transit options. Parking passes have been e-mailed to registrants.
By train
Go green and take the train to the Symposium! IIT is served by the CTA Red Line (Sox-35th station), and the CTA Green Line (35th-Bronzeville-IIT station). A new Metra station at 35th St. serves the Rock Island Line.
By car
Complimentary parking is available with a parking pass (e-mailed to registrations) at the following lots:
State Street and 32nd Street (Lot A4-V)
31st Street and Wabash (Lot A3)
If those lots are full, additional visitor paid (pay-box) parking can be found in the following lots:
33rd Street and Federal (Lot B5)
State Street and 35th Street (Lot D5)
From the North:
Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) east to 31st Street exit, turn left (east) to cross the expressway and enter campus.
From the South:
Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) west to 35th Street exit, continue north to 33rd Street, turn right (east) and enter campus. Turn left at State Street.
From Lake Shore Drive:
Exit at 31st Street, go inland (west) to State Street.
HOTEL INFORMATION
Since the Symposium is held at Illinois Institute of Technology, we are not affiliated with any specific hotel. However, a shuttle bus will run between the venue, the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel, and the Hilton Chicago hotel for Great Lakes Symposium attendees. There are also many downtown Chicago hotels that are within a short taxi or train ride from the venue. There is no block of rooms to worry about.
